A lovely Japanese satsuma vase by one of Japan's most revered satsuma artists, Kinkosan Zo, perhaps second only to Yabu Meizan. This vase, in two cartouches, depicts birds among gardens and flowers, possibly nuthatches and pheasants.Height: 9 3/4 in x diameter: 5 in.Condition:No visible cracks, chips, or losses. There are losses to the gilt throughout. There are no signs of restoration. There is crazing throughout. The footrim has wear, consistent with age and use.

The blue ginger jar's lid with two cracks which have been repaired; there is a cork stuck in the opening and the inside of the jar cannot be examined. No other notable repairs to the other items. Light wear to all pieces.
