In the Birks book Alan spotted that the vase had been wrongly attributed to the collection of A. Egner, further noting: 'When I bought this from Lucie at Albion Mews she had at first been reluctant to sell - then later changed her mind, saying 'Oh you can take it'. The piece had a label on the base BIRKS; perhaps it indicated its use for photography'. CONDITION REPORT: Appears good with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
