A RARE CHINESE BROWN GLAZED ALTAR VASE, SIX CHARACTER YONGZHENG MARK AND OF THE PERIOD 1723-35 The ovoid body with a cylindrical neck, moulded to each side with a peach-shaped panel, all raised on a domed elliptical foot, with two handles formed as birds to the shoulder, decorated with a rich brown glaze, 22.3cm. This subject is taken from Zhanguo ce (Legends of the Warring States), which represents the idiom ‘profit reaped by a third party’.
