Property from An Important Private CollectionTo Be Sold With No ReserveA Sasanian-style silver vase, the rounded body rising from the short foot to the waisted neck and short vertical mouth rim, the body worked in repoussé with two large roundels each containing a stylised bird with knotted scarf in a border of overlapping leaf-moitfs, the roundels divided by elegant tendrils enclosing palmettes and terminating in everted split palmettes, a pronounced raised wreath encircling the shoulder, the neck and mouth plain, 564 grams, 29.3cm. high Footnotes: This vase is very difficult to date but can be compared in decorative repertoire to Christie's 23 October 2007 Lot 135 and and example in L. He rode a variety of machines including Manx Nortons and two-stroke Bultacos for the smaller classes, and was supported by UK Aermacchi concessionaire Syd Lawton from 1966,[1] before turning to Yamaha TD2s and TR2s.Gould won the 1970 FIM 250cc world championship on a Yamaha.[2] After finishing third in the 250 class and fourth in the 500 class in 1972, Gould retired from competition and took a position as Yamaha's European racing manager.[3]In 1979 Gould established a retail motorcycle dealership in Birmingham named Hailwood and Gould, in partnership with famous former-racer Mike Hailwood, who was subsequently killed in a road traffic accident in 1981. In 1984, Gould was briefly Sales Manager for the second incarnation of Hesketh Motorcycles based at Lord Hesketh's Easton Neston stately home.Gould died at his home in Cheltenham on 16 April 2024, at the age of 81.[4]

[W]Condition Report: Appears in good condition overall, some roughness to the rim in one area, no significant damage, some scratch marks to the decoration and rubbing to the gilt.

A Chinese famille rose vase, the body decorated with panels of figures in court scenes set between panels of flora and fauna, further panels of figures to the neck below a shaped rim, the shoulders with applied chilong, unmarked to the base, 36 cm (h). [W]Condition Report: Appears in good condition overall, a couple of chips to the rim, no signs of further significant damage or restoration, very dusty.
Selection of "830" stamped Norwegian Silver. To include a Silver Vase by Hugo Grun engraved "KLASSEPOKAL" "NORSKE SPORTSKO OSLO 1934-1935" on one side and "1935: K.AAS" on the other side and measures approx. 16cm high and approx. 9.5cm width. There is a another Silver Vase that is engraved that measures approx. 14.5cm high and approx. 5.5cm width. There is also two Silver Vases with weighted bases one taller than the other. One of them measures approx. 18cm high and the other approx. 15.5cm high. Total gross weight of the 830 grade Silver excluding the weighted bases vases is approx. 180.26 grams. Condition: There is small dents in the Silver Vases.
