A 19th Century un-named twin-handled ironstone pot-pourri with pierced cover and urn finial decorated in the Imari palette flanked by relief decorated flower head handles, with gilt rim, on a circular foot, 30 cm high, together with a similar un-named twin handled baluster shaped vase in the Imari palette with wavy gilt rims, 38 cm high, and a similar Masons Ironstone mug decorated in the Imari palette with green serpent handle within gilt decorated rims, 8 cm high (3) CONDITION REPORTS All with wear and scuffs, including wear to gilding and firing faults including blue smudge marks and firing cracks. Vase handles broken and reglued. Some overpainting / restoration. Pot Pourri with restoration and repainting to rim and lid, and finial appears to be a later replacement and overpainted. Lid is not a good fit so is probably associated, although this may be due to the inner lid being missing. Firing cracks to base.
A Japanese Meiji period Satsuma baluster shaped vase and lid, the ribbed sides decorated with four panels of many figures interspersed by circular medallion decorated panel, raised on a circular foot, bears impressed seal mark to base, 18.35 cm high, together with another Japanese Meiji period ovoid vase with shallow flared rim, the side panels decorated with exotic birds amongst blossoming foliage and figures approaching a nobleman, raised on a circular foot, 15 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Vase with general wear and scuffs,and crazing to glaze, wear and losses to gilding. Jar and cover - with general wear and scuffs, crazing to glaze, wear and losses to gilding, bears an indistinct impressed mark to base, dirt and some white paint marks.
A late 19th Century Chinese Cantonese export vase (now converted to a table lamp base), richly decorated in coloured enamels in the famille-rose palette, depicting figures within panels amidst floral sprays, Oriental emblems, butterflies and lizards in raised relief on a circular foot and hardwood base, 49 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear and scuffs including wear to gilding, hole drilled to base, lamp fitments not removed so unable to check underside of vase, various firing blemishes and some firing cracks including near head of one lizard where it meets the body, a couple of small chips to underside of rim, and a chip to the scalloped decoration at neck, overall condition however appears reasonably good.
