A 19th century Chinese blue and white baluster vase with cover, twin dragon decoration and overall peony, bamboo and chrysanthemum decoration, cover with Dog of Fo finial, four-character marks to base, height 38cm. CONDITION REPORT The vase is in overall good condition with no signs of major restoration or damage to the vase, the rim of the vase has a hairline crack, approx 5cm, and there is a chip of about 5cm which has been re-glued but could be repaired more sympathetically, the cover has various rim chips to the base of the rim and also one rim chip to the top, otherwise in good condition

MOORCROFT; two vases comprising a small vase of ovoid form with a band of clematis, on an egg yolk and green ground, height 13cm and a bulbous shaped floral vase with flared trumpet neck, decorated with hibiscus and pansies, on a blue ground, height 9.5cm, both impressed with Moorcroft factory stamp (2). CONDITION REPORT The first vase has a small firing crack to the rim, crackle to the glaze, but no obvious chips, cracks or repairs. The blue ground vase has no obvious chips, cracks or repairs, but there is crackle to the glaze.
Royal Worcester; a late 19th century blush ivory twin handle gilt heightened sugar bowl with puce backstamp and date code for 1893, further stamped RD No.198833 above 1613, 6.5 x 13cm, and a twin handle gilt heightened vase with green backstamp and date code for 1902, and further stamped RD No.238835 above 1759, with further artists monogram, height 27cm (2). CONDITION REPORT The vase has some slight scratching around the twin handles to the gilt heightened section, there is further slight rubbing to the top rim on the gilt, further slight grubbing to the foot rim, possibly signs of adhesive residue inside the base to the firing hole, otherwise appears ok with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.The sugar bowl slight grubbing to the foot rim, overall slightly grubby but appears ok with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A Japanese Meiji Period Satsuma baluster vase, highly decorated in enamels and gilt-heightened, with a wide gilded abstract band to the neck of medallions and panel decoration, above figural and scenic vignettes, a panel of Japanese lord with figures seated at a table and figure of an elderly lady bearing gifts, against a backdrop of richly decorated curtains and scenic view of flowing river, chrysanthemums and mountains seen through the window, the opposite vignette of Samurai warriors with lord and two kneeling warriors, against a background of prunus blossom, mountain scape and flowing water, each panel separated by a richly gilt-heightened abstract panel, the same to the base of the vase, height 47cm.Provenance: Part of the Paul Lightfoot Collection. CONDITION REPORT The interior of the vase has a large crack from the base of the neck to approximately three quarters down the body of the vase. It appears to be an old crack and does not appear to be going anywhere. It is partially visible to the exterior of the vase for approximately four inches.
