A fine George III engraved nutmeg grater, in the form of a covered vase on a canted oblong pedestal foot with a reeded border and a ball finial, the body bright-engraved with a patera and seaweed-like fronds on a pricked ground, the cover hinged and the side also hinged at the base to reveal a blued steel grater, by Thomas Phipps & Edward Robinson, London 1804, 2.75in (7cm) high.
