A fine Persian rug, late 19th/early 20th century, with silky pile, the centre panel with vase and foliate design and with multiple line border. 225 cm x 139 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The rug is in generally reasonable condition. There are however areas of wear which are in the main confined to the green ground which has been woven lower than the foliate pattern. This has worn in places and particularly around the wide floral band surrounding the centre section. The centre beige panel is similarly worn on only the lighter green sections of weave.
A pair of Vienna porcelain vases and covers, each with blue ground and figural panels, beehive mark. Height 28 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both vases have had professional restoration. Both lids have been restored and over sprayed. One vase base is in good order with no issues other than minor rubbing to the gilding in places. The second vase base has considerable over spray to the underside of the base. We cannot see any evidence of any damage when the vase is viewed from the exterior and feel that this over spraying is probably to cover damage around the washer and nut that holds the upper section of the vase onto the base. There is also rubbing to some of the gilding on the proud parts of this piece.

The neck of the body has a small chip and some of the crazing has slightly discoloured to the body, please see photograph.
