Silk embroidered and brocaded panel with metal thread embroidery of flowers and foliage within cartouches, one cartouche at the top- forming a vase embroidered with a small figure in a landscape; a cartouche at the base depicting a small figure asleep; worked in a variety of stitches on a cream voided silk ground, late 18th/early 19th century, possibly Italian(?), 18¾in. x 19in. 48cm. x 49cm. Framed. Together with a length of splendid Venetian gold silk brocade woven with large flowers within ogival trellis, probably early 20th century, 50in. x 48in. 127cm. x 122cm. Some surface marks. -2
Aubusson tapestry panel, France, second half 19th century, 28½in. x 26in. 72cm. x 66cm. Depicting a vase of flowers on a plinth within a border of flowering scrolls, a bird to one side and a lion to the other side, the top fronds terminating in mask heads. Slight wear and fading with small repairs in places. Framed.
A pair of early 20th century floral decorated blue and white Chinese baluster vases and covers, the covers mounted with dogs of foo, with blue character marks to base, approx height 40cm. CONDITION REPORT One vase has a few chips to the base, one hairline crack to the rim, some old firing marks to the body. The other has some small old chips to the rim and base. Both generally good.
A small group of decorative ceramics including a modern Belleek shell moulded jug and bowl, also a similar vase, a Continental porcelain boat shaped figural bowl, a Royal Doulton medium character jug; "The Cardinal", and a small quantity of decorative ceramics.
Four late 19th century hand painted cabinet plates, a German porcelain cup inscribed "The Hill Morgan Gold Mines. N.Wales", two German pink ground cups decorated with Welsh women, a jug decorated with Welsh costumes and an opaque glass ovoid vase decorated with a view of Dolgelly (9).
A quantity of Crown Ducal and Crown Devon blush ivory ceramics to include baluster vases, dishes and stands etc, also a harvest style Clarice Cliff teapot with applied fruit to the handle and lid, a Wade figure entitled "Romance" and a Whitefriars style vase.
A Crown Ducal Charlotte Rhead designed vase with pierced side handle and tube lined decoration with stylised flowers, printed and painted marks to base, numbered 198, height 19cm, (af), also a Carter Stabler Adams Ltd Poole preserve pot cover and stand (2). CONDITION REPORT The Charlotte Rhead vase has a 4cm crack running from the rim and is also very dirty, there is fine crazing to the Poole preserve pot a tiny underglaze rim chip at the cut out point of the lid, there is a 2cm hairline crack to the body and a tiny rim chip to the body and the base has a very fine 2cm hairline crack.
A Royal Worcester blush ivory floral painted and gilt heightened quatrolobe vase and cover signed F.J. Bray, the base with green painted marks, No 291, date code for 1910, height 17cm. CONDITION REPORT No apparent restoration, colour and gilding good, some slight wear to gilding on the finial.
An early 19th century oversized ale glass engraved with initials above a knopped stem and star cut circular base, height 18cm, an early 20th century clear glass vase with stylised green glass overlaid decoration, a clear glass vase hand painted with daffodils and floral sprays, three Venetian style coloured glasses on stylised dolphin stems and a ship in a bottle (7). CONDITION REPORT The oversized ale glass has a 2 x 5mm chip to the rim just above the engraved initials otherwise ok, the other pieces appear in good order.
A GEORGE IV MAHOGANY AND CANED BERGÈRE, C1830 90cm h++One of the turned vase shaped arm supports replaced, the seat originally caned now with fabric cover. Caning to the back and arms in good condition albeit unevenly faded, typical minor knocks and scratches around the arms and legs
A PAIR OF ITALIAN PIETRE DURE PLAQUES, C1880 the elements carved in high relief to form a flower filled vase, giltwood floral frames, 47cm h overall++The pietre dure plaques in basically good condition, free from series faults or losses, minor old evidence of glue where pieces have worked loose and much accretion of dust and dirt. The central pebble on one plaque at the base of the arrangement would appear to be a replacement. The supports which are of black slate or marble not cracked or chipped and on one an old, probably 19th c label inscribed in ink with a number. The frames likely to be original with some damage, repair and retouched gilding
