CONDITION REPORT: Both the vases have good glaze and are bright with some wear to gilding at rim and Chi Lung, also to small vignettes, Vase 1: Chip off fluted rim approx 6cm x 1cm, Chi Lung to shoulder okay, 1 lion dog at neck, tail lost, hairline crack from bottom right hand corner of square panel to just above band foot. Vase 2: Chi Lung at shoulder okay, Lion dogs at neck okay, vertical fine hairline to body, from frill at shoulder to halfway down the right side of square figure panel, approx. 22cm, Flat chip under fluted rim, just nibble at edge, 8mm x 30mm, Slight rubbing to white glaze just inside top rim

Blackwood stand, as base is sitting inside footrim. One handle very slightly loose, appears to be in good condition.

The cover of the koro has a chunk out of it and has been in half. The body has also been in pieces and neatly glued back together

Lot 2

A late 19th century sectional vase with later ormolu mounts, the baluster shape painted with green scrolling lotus and blue shou characters on a pink ground between blue ground rim bands, the waisted neck applied with four dragons, 36cm (14.25 in) high The circular hole within the foot of the lower porcelain body is glazed over suggesting that it was always intended that it should be bolted in some way to the neck section.

A Han dynasty pottery vase, the grey body of the baluster shape with traces of a red leaf band around the waisted neck and rings around the compressed spherical body below, 34.5cm (13.5 in) high This has a covering of dirt from having been buried but appears to be in good physical condition

A late 19th/early 20th century rouge de fer vase, the baluster shape painted with jewel hung neck above while sages examine a ying and yang scroll with attendants and bats about them, iron red mask and ring handles on the shoulders, 38cm (15 in) high (R) This has been a lamp at some stage. The hole to take the flex has been filled and there are traces of where a plate was fitted inside the neck which has a hair crack

CONDITION REPORT: The Worcester vase has a loss to one of the corners of the rim, heavy surface dirt particularly to the base, minor areas of rubbing to the gilt. Figure of boy has both arms and wrists broken off and crudely reglued, losses to tails of both birds, areas of rubbing to the paint, surface dirt. French vase appears to be in good condition with rubbing to the gilt rim, minor surface wear.
