A collection of Isle of Wight glassware comprising a glass tazza with lustre feather decoration, etched to base "Jonathan Harris Isle of Wight Glass England 'Gräl' July 1998", diameter 22cm, a royal blue footed bowl with spotted pattern, diameter 18.5cm, and a gold spotted lustre patterned baluster vase, height 13cm (3). CONDITION REPORT: Appears good with no obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
An Isle of Wight glass sleeve vase with a gold lustre and blue and white striped abstract design, etched to rim "Michael Harris 110-500", height 20cm, and a smaller Isle of Wight glass sleeve vase in white and gold, height 16.5cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: The taller vase has a manufacturing imperfection to underside that is barely noticeable, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
In the manner of LOBMEYR; a large blue glass enamel painted and gilt heightened vase held within a brass frame, the shaped top above ovoid main body held by cherubic mounts and domed base with four scrolling supports, height 47cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: There is a "spear" missing from the rim, also a large section which has been broken and glued, a tiny chip to one of the other "spears", also a small chip to the stem of the vase where it sits within the metal frame. The frame itself is rather loose and could benefit from being tightened with some pitting to the brass.
A late 19th century Chinese blue and white sleeve vase painted in underglaze blue with blossoming prunus branches, with two decorative bands to the base and rim, bearing four character mark to base, height 35cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: There are two chips to the rim and one smaller nibble, there is a star hairline throughout the base and crack spreading along a firing imperfection.
A large late 19th century Chinese vase and cover painted in underglaze blue with blossoming prunus, height 35.5cm, and a pair of similar ginger jars and covers, height 27.5cm, all bearing a double ring mark to base (af) (3). CONDITION REPORT: Large vase and cover: damage and crude repair to the neck, stain mark to the glazing of the body, cover has a firing flaw. Ginger jars: both covers are broken, and crudely repaired, both bodies have firing flaws to gaze, bubble marks.
A mixed lot of Oriental ceramics, including a miniature Satsuma vase, painted with two opposing panels depicting court scenes, height 6cm, a group of Chinese Export Canton items including a pair of vases and a cylindrical box with cover (af), a Chinese crackle glaze sleeve vase, etc.
A pair of large Japanese Meiji period cloisonné vases of baluster form, decorated with birds and butterflies amongst chrysanthemum, peonies and bamboo, within two decorative bands to the top and bottom, height 31.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both have scratches to the surface, also minor losses along the wires, firing bubbles throughout, major dent to one in the upper section with traces of wax restoration. The same vase has a loss to the decoration above the base.
After CRAIGIE AITCHISON (1926-2009); an artist's proof print on card, a bird and vase on dark pink ground, signed in pencil verso and numbered 111/X AP 2003, 26 x 20.5cm, unframed, and a Craigie Aitchison exhibition gallery catalogue from 2000 (2). CONDITION REPORT: Slightly 'crimped' edge. Very slightly curved. Overall good. Definitely thick paper and not card.
A George V hallmarked loaded silver bud vase with pierced rim and waisted central stem, London 1913, height 12.5cm, also a small late Victorian hallmarked silver pierced bonbon dish, Chester 1898, diameter 9.5cm (af) (2). CONDITION REPORT: The bud vase has clear hallmarks, a couple of tiny dents, and some pitting, the dish has splits to the rim and holes through the raised areas.
