A Chinese Cloisonné Baluster Vase, Qing Dynasty, probably Qianlong, of baluster form with tall tapering neck and everted rim, worked in colours with flowering lilies within a pale blue ''halo'' on a green ground with Greek Key borders, 37cm high The pale blue halo around the foliate decoration appears to be relatively unusual. A Luppens & Cie Bronze Twin-Handled Urn Shaped Vase, circa 1870, of baluster form, cast with bands of classical ornament and foliage, the angular handles with opposed female and male mask finials and boar's head terminals, on a fluted circular socle and square base, signed H Luppens, 57cm high, with liner See illustrationWear to patination, particularly on extremities. Some minor scratching. Base originally with presentation plaque leaving two drill holes and with shadow of patination which was behind the plaque. The remainder of that face of the base with patination polished away. Some adhesive residue to sides and some minor scratching throughout. 180219
^ A George III Silver Serving Trowel, William Plummer, London 1774, the blade pierced with scrolling foliage issuing from a central vase, the baluster turned wood handle with dolphin junction, engraved with a crest of stag to underside, 32.5cm long Marks are clear and well struck to underside, crest also crisp. Some chips to the collar of the turned wood handle. Blade not quite 100% flat but generally the piece is in pleasing order.
