GREAT WAR - AN UNUSUAL 'TRENCH ART' MINIATURE TILT-TOP CIRCULAR TABLE modelled from brass and bakelite, the top mounted with a 'Galipolli Star', approximately 13.5cm high; and a silver-plated brass shell case modelled as a vase, with a flared rim, mounted on a round bakelite base, 20cm high, (2).
A beautiful silver mounted percussion pistol by F. Morgenroth dating: second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Saxony Octagonal, rifled, damask, 13 mm cal. barrel, featuring the silver signature "F. MORGENROTH IN GERNRODE", engraved at the base, foresight; engraved tang; percussion lock finely engraved with the effigy of a fox and a tree between floral motifs, the hammers finely chiselled as winged dragon heads, engraved safety lock placed on a wheel. Wooden full stock with chiselled and checkered butt, decorated with silver nails; silver mounts engraved with trophies and floral motifs, the butt-plate with a fox staring at a swan whose head is laying on a vase. Trigger guard with finger support (a small restoration), muzzle and ramrod tip made of horn. Mechanic with set trigger. F. Morgenroth is documented in Gernrode /Anhalt/Ger from 1840-1850 (Der Neue Stöckel Vol. II, page 830. dimensions: length 36.5 cm.
A scarce bouble-barrelled pill lock gun by Ebert dating: second quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Vienna Smooth, round, twisted, 16 mm cal. barrels, featuring remains of finishing, with the signature "Ebert in Wien" in gold between spirals, remains of gilt stamps at the base, provided with rib with foresight; steel tang chiselled with birds, floral frames, with broad sight featuring the effigy of a sun with anthropomorphic face; pill locks engraved with floral motifs, frames and a hound chasing a hare, also featuring the signature "EBERT / IN WIEN" in gold; briarwood half stock with checkered palm-rest and neck, the first one with the chiselled effigy of a hound the other with a band of vine shoots; more chiselling around the tang of the barrel; iron mounts featuring the engraved depiction of animals and vase, iron and horn trigger guard. Brass-tipped ebony ramrod with iron cartridge extractor. dimensions: length 117,5 cm.
