A collection of Aynsley "Orchard Gold" pattern porcelain, 20th century, comprising a pair of matching twin handled vases and covers, three further vases, a cream jug, a matching pair of fruit bowls, four plates and five small dishes. CONDITION REPORT: Of the two tall vases and covers one cover has a small rim chip. The other cover has been broken in two and glued and there is a 1.5 cm x 1 cm section of the interior rim missing. The vases are structurally in good order although one does have white scratch marks around the base of the foot. One vase has a green printed mark, the other red. A hexagonal shape vase is in good order and has a red stamp mark. The pickle dish is in good order and has a green stamp. The onion shape vase is in good order and has a green stamp. The miniature plate and two small dishes are all in good order and have green stamps. The squat lidded vase and cover is in good order and has a blue stamp. The small cream jug is in good order and has a green stamp. The large plate, two dessert plates and two fruit bowls are all in good order and have a red printed mark. The large plate with a claret border is in good order and has a green/black stamp. The shell shaped dish is in good order and has a green/black stamp.

Lot 767

A pair of cranberry glass twin branch vases, 19th century, each branch holding a basket with clear applied crimped bands and feet, height 27.7 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One basket has a centre section of foot missing, otherwise all baskets are in good order. One arm of the vase is missing a tip, the other vase appears to be in good order throughout with no obvious chips, cracks or repairs.

Lot 290

Two 19th century Chinese blue and white vases, each with Chilong to neck and both with four character mark to base. Height 26 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both vases have chips to the underside of the rim. The vase with the Shi Shi handles has small chips to the Chilong, this vase has four character Xiangxi. The vase with lotus flower decoration has four character Xuande mark. Other than those faults mentioned there appear to be no further chips, cracks or obvious restorations.

Lot 483

A two handled silver vase, Elkington, London 1913, with waisted neck and two loop handles above the tapering body, repousse with a continuing band of iris in water all beneath a stippled band of clouds, on weighted circular foot with engraved inscription "Won by Miss Parr 1913", height 23.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This weighs 749.8 grams gross but bear in mind the bottom is weighted. The silver is of a very good gauge throughout and there are no signs of any rubbing, cracks, repairs or faults.

Lot 806

A pair of Vienna porcelain lidded vases, decorated with scenes after Angelica Kauffman, each with beehive mark to base. Height 30 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One lid has the gilding rubbed on its knop and also a repair across the body, centre and issuing to the foot rim. There are numerous hairline cracks to the interior. The rim of the vase has a small chip. The gilding is faded but intact. Both vases have gilt rubbing to the rims. Its partner vase appears to be in good order throughout with gilt rubbing to the main body but nothing too detrimental. One cover has had its knop broken off and re-attached.

CONDITION REPORT: The gilding is partially erased throughout. This includes the rim, vignettes and ground decoration between. There are no obvious chips, cracks or restorations.

A pair of Vienna porcelain vases and covers, Alexandria Porcelain Works, each with a roundel containing a floral spray and with jewelled decoration heightened with gilding, printed marks, 17.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One knop has 50% of its gilding missing. The other knop has a small amount of gilding missing but nothing too detrimental. One vase has a 8 mm wide x 4 mm deep rim chip. Other than that the vases appear to be in good order and free from any further chips, cracks or restorations.

A Japanese Akasuke cloisonne vase, by Kumeno Teitaro (Nagoya 1863-1939), of square tapering form, the Ginbari body decorated with birds flying amongst bamboo against a stippled ground, struck mark to underside. Height 25 cm (see illustration).

Lot 249

A large Chinese cloisonne vase, Qing dynasty (late 18th/19th century) with key fret gilded rim set with blue enamel above a Ruyi head border, various flowers and gourds, against a blue ground above lappets and upon a blue scale and gilt circular foot, 40 cm high (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The cloisonné body has lots of thin holes within the enamel but this is due to the firing/manufacturing process. There are small sections of the vase on the underside of the rim which do not have any enamel but again this a manufacturing fault. There is a small section on the shoulder of the main body, approximately 2.5 cm x 1.5 cm, where there is a slight depression and the enamel is partially missing from four petals and a small section of the body. There is a very small section just above the lappets on the base that feels rough but looking under a magnifying glass this appears to be a manufacturing issue and does not appear to be a post production fault. Looking closely around the body there are small pieces of enamel petal missing but nothing that is significant or detrimental. There is a small 5 mm diameter hole in the scale decoration on the foot.

Lot 676

A pair of 19th century Continental porcelain lidded vases, pompadour pink, with panels of lovers and flowers, each raised on a metal base. Height 28.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The vases are after a design by Jean Claude Duplessis The Elder for Serves. The covers and bodies do not have any marks. We have been able to take off one base which has revealed a Serves style mark. The floral spray decoration and painted panels are of very good quality. The gilt decorations around the panels and around the vase itself are rubbed and scratched. The pink ground on the vase is faded in areas. The glaze on one vase body has not reached the bottom of the vase. Both covers have numerous losses. One cover has been broken in half and glued and has a 1.5 cm x 5 mm section of the interior rim missing. Both are missing numerous parts from the central knop and both would have had applied branches surrounding the knop which are now missing. The other cover has a 4 cm hairline crack on the interior and also a 4 cm Y shaped crack issuing from the rim.

Lot 705

A pair of Royal Worcester twin handled vases painted by Harry Davis, date code for 1908/09, each painted with sheep in a mountainous landscape, the reverse with a fellside view all beneath a moulded bellflower band neck upon a circular foot, printed marks, shape 2247, 19 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The vase with the sheep illustrated on the left hand side of the lake has a large circular crack which is visible on the exterior and the interior. There are two minor chips in this crack which should be visible from online images. Issuing from the bottom right of this crack is a further fine hairline crack which goes down to the base. The base has been broken off and glued. The gilding is 20% rubbed on the rim. The vase with the sheep on the right hand side of the main scene appears to be in good order throughout. There is light rubbing on the gilding on the rim. Other than that there are no obvious chips, cracks or losses. There is a very faint and fine surface scratch approximately 1.5 cm to the right of the uppermost sheep, this is not instantly obvious but is there all the same. There are two very small patches to the foot rim where the gilding has come off.

Lot 615

A large Poole pottery "purse" vase, decorated in the sunset pattern, moulded and inscribed marks to the underside, 25.5 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: There is a small glaze blemish on the rear interior rim, the rim is black apart from this 5 mm x 2 mm section. The small blemish is glazed and may be a firing flaw. Moulded marks to the underside, initials monogram AC. There appear to be no obvious faults, chips, cracks or restorations and the vase appears to be in good order throughout.

A Cobridge Stoneware "African Sunrise" vase, of inverted tapering form, circa 1998, and a Cobridge Stoneware ginger jar and cover in the Hosta pattern, each with impressed and inscribed marks to the underside, the latter with original box, 26.5 cm and 21 cm high respectively.

A Langley Pottery Studio vase, with stylised band decoration against a sky blue ground, printed marks to the underside, and a pair of Royal Torquay Pottery sleeve vases decorated with apples above a dark blue ground, printed marks, 25.5 cm and 29 cm respectively.

A Chinese Famille Rose vase, mid 19th century, the neck with Ruyi head border above stiff leaves, the compressed body decorated with peony, chrysanthemums, peaches, pomegranate and butterflies above a false gadroon border, 32.5 cm high (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Other than the gilding on the rim which has been erased, the vase is in good order throughout with no signs of any obvious chips, cracks or restorations. The vase rings out nicely when lightly tapped.

A Monart style glass vase, 20th century, having a flaring rim with amethyst and aventurine body above a mottled pink base, on circular foot, height 17 cm, diameter 14 cm.

A collection of Chinese porcelain, 20th century, comprising a wall pocket painted with a bird amongst blossoming branches and between a relief moulded Ruyi head border, 28 cm high, a ginger jar and cover with polychrome enamel decoration, with printed mark for Jiangxi Jingdezhen Min Ci, a further ginger jar marked for Zhongguo Jingdezhen Zhi, a tankard and a blue and white double gourd shape miniature vase with four character Jingdezhen Zhi mark, 10 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The upper rim of the wall pocket is poorly fired and shows lots of iron oxide spots. The gilding along the front of the wall pocket is erased and has left a dull line. The first pink band across the top has a small chip on the right hand side. The moulding of the Ruyi heads is not particularly good nor consistent. There are no obvious chips, cracks or post production flaws visible. The tankard handle has been broken near the top in two places and restored. Otherwise the tankard is in good condition. It bears a wax seal signifying that it is of no cultural importance the same can be said for the wall pocket. The double gourd shaped vase has no obvious faults. One ginger jar is missing a cover. Both ginger jars are otherwise in good order but are not of the highest quality.

A Vasart glass vase, 20th century, of bucket shape, with scrolling turquoise scrolls above a mottled pink ground, etched mark, 19.5 cm high, 15 cm wide.

Lot 292

A small pair of cloisonne vases, decorated with birds, branches and blossom. Height 15 cm. CONDITION REPORT: One vase has a very small bruise on the shoulder with small fine hairline cracks issuing from the centre. There is a further notable 1 cm x 3 mm wide crack near the base with again further fine cracks issuing. There are approximately three chips around the base where the body joins the foot rim. Its partner vase appears to be in good order with some very light surface scratches but nothing too obvious. There appears to be no chips, cracks or restorations to this vase.

A pair of Vienna porcelain vases, printed with Classical scenes and with beehive mark to base. Height 37 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The left hand vase has a large hairline crack on the rear of the rim running down into the shoulder. The right hand handle has been broken off at the top and glued. The gilt decoration at the rear is almost fully erased. The left hand vase has a section of the rim missing at the rear. The left hand handle has been off and glued. The gilding on the rear is almost fully erased.

A Poole pottery "Living glaze" vase and cover, printed marks 31.5 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The vase is in good order throughout. The lid is in good order and rings out nicely when lightly tapped. There are no signs of any cracks, chips or restorations.

Lot 629

A large Whitefriars kingfisher blue "Banjo" vase, designed by Geoffrey Baxter for the Textured Range for the 1970's, pattern number 9681, 32.5 cm high (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The rear left corner of the neck has a small 3 mm x 2 mm white inclusion. This cannot be felt, it is in the actual body of the glass. There is a further much smaller speck at the rear of the neck, again this cannot be felt as it is in the actual body of the glass. There are the remains of dead insects and plants attached to the inside of the body and a good clean may reveal further small inclusions produced at the manufacturing stage. On the right hand side of the neck there is a further longer white inclusion but again cannot be felt on either side and is in the body. There is the remnants of the glue from a pattern number label attached to the bottom. Overall there appear to be no post manufacture chips, cracks or flaws.

Lot 756

A Noritake vase and Noritake vase and cover, 20th century, each with painted marks, 24 cm and 14.5 cm respectively. CONDITION REPORT: The taller vase has very light gilt rubbing throughout but this is particularly notable on the rim and feet. The colours are vibrant. There is further gilt rubbing to the ring handles. The black rim at the top looks a little washed out and is not a solid colour throughout, alternating from dark black to a grey black. There appear to be no obvious chips, cracks or restorations. The bowl and cover has gilt rubbing to the rim of the petals and the knop. There is gilt rubbing to the rim and foot rim of the bowl but not overly excessive,. The colours are vibrant throughout. There appear to be no obvious chips, cracks, faults or restorations.

Lot 627

A large Whitefriars "Drunken Bricklayer" kingfisher blue glass vase, designed by Geoffrey Baxter for the Textured Range, circa 1967-77, pattern number 9672, 34 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There are no obvious post production flaws visible. The body appears to be free from any external chips or cracks. Overall, apart from requiring a good interior clean, this piece is in good order.

A Japanese printed blue and white charger, circa 1920/30's, centred within a landscape of buildings around a river framed by panels of flowers against diaper and blossoming prunus and chrysanthemums, diameter 40 cm, and a green glaze vase with ormolu mounted apertures, height 25 cm.

Lot 225

Assorted 18th century Chinese porcelain, to include an Imari pattern plate, two tea caddies, three coffee cans, three tea bowls and a saucer, and a Japanese Kutani coffee can and two saucers (12). CONDITION REPORT: Two coffee cans are in good order with no post production faults. The Famille Rose coffee can has a rim chip and a 1.5 cm hairline crack on the rim. The vase with the white scrolling decoration on the foot rim has a 1 cm chip to the foot rim and some fritting. The other vase has a 1 cm hairline crack on the rim. The Kutani coffee cup has a large fine hairline crack. There are two Kutani saucers which are both in good order. The Chinese saucer has a few rim frits, a small chip to the rim and a 2 cm fine hairline crack. The larger bowl has numerous rim frits but rings out nicely when lightly tapped. One tea bowl has no chips or cracks but it does have an awful lot of kiln dirt in the glaze. The smallest Famille Rose tea bowl has a 6 mm x 4 mm rim chip. The Chinese Imari plate has a rim to foot rim fine hairline crack and a small glaze chip.
