An early 18c needlework sampler by Elizabeth, The Charity School, St Clements Danes, aged 14, who began the sampler during December 1721. The sampler has horizontal panels of figures admiring flowers in pots, one with a central anchor flanked by two swans and rows of conifer trees and one with lady and gentleman either side of a large two handled vase and floral display. The remaining panels are made up of script and verse, framed and glazed, 45cm x 22cm.
