An 18th century Delft bowl, diameter 26.3cm, and baluster vase, height 19cm, both painted in underglaze blue with floral sprays, also a creamer and lid lacking base (latter two badly af).Additional InformationThe creamer is in very poor condition, lost one horn, tail completely gone with a crude replacement, the finial to the cover which is missing the body also obviously damaged, further hairlines, glaze losses etc as is usual, please refer to illustrations and request additional if necessary.

The George White vase has light surface scratches and natural pitting to the body of the vase, minor rubbing to the gilding but overall condition is good.

A good and large 17th century Chinese transitional wucai vase decorated with twin dragons chasing the pearl, height 33cm.Additional InformationInternal firing crack, surface wear and rubbing to the paint throughout, otherwise appears good with no further signs of faults, damage or restorations. The firing crack to the interior is a horizontal band and is in production.  This does not appear on the outside of the vase.

Lot 657

A 20th century turquoise ground gilt heightened moon flask decorated with typical landscape features in relief, with twin handles modelled as Chilong dragons, apocryphal Qianlong seal mark to base, height 34.5cm. Additional InformationThis has been very badly repainted as a turquoise brown flask, the gilt heightening has been added, whether this is to cover extensive restoration or just a bad paint job is unknown, but this is a modern vase.

A large Chinese porcelain moon flask decorated in underglaze blue with men playing instruments to either side against floral ground, with applied twin chilong handles (one af), unmarked, height 45cm (chip to rim), and a pair of vases decorated with scholarly arrangements against floral ground, both with apocryphal Kangxi mark to base, height 30cm (3).Additional InformationThere are cracks to one of the baluster vases, surface wear and pitting, two further cracks to the second vase, the large moon flask has chips and cracks terminating at the rim, surface wear throughout, a few losses to raised parts.

A pair of Chinese Dehua-type blanc de chine glazed porcelain Guanyin figures, unmarked, height of each approx 26.5cm (both af), a small vase painted with figures in landscape, a red lacquered Buddha on hardwood stand and a pair of Japanese eggshell porcelain vases (6). Additional InformationBoth Guanyin figures have had their hands off and crudely repaired, one with sizeable chip to the shaped base, further wear, nicks, chips and nibbles throughout, generally with heavy wear.

A Chinese Kangxi porcelain ovoid vase decorated in underglaze blue with floral sprays, with later European foliate motif white metal mount and lid, Artemisia leaf mark to base, height 18cm and smaller example decorated with two figures playing weiqi in garden setting with similar silver mounts and Artemesia leaf to base, height 12.5cm (2).Additional InformationThe porcelain which is visible appears to be in good condition, light surface wear, tarnishing and toning to the white metal mounts on both.

A small pair of Chinese 18th century porcelain lobed bottles/vases decorated in underglaze blue with Buddhist symbols and floral sprays and both with European white metal mounts and lids, unmarked, height 17cm and a smaller inverted baluster vase decorated with alternating panels of floral sprays and lady in garden setting with European white metal lid, Artemisium leaf mark to base (one vase af) (3).Additional InformationThe pair are very slightly different heights, this is probably due to one of them having a large area of damage to the neck covered to the main by the white metal mounts, both have surface wear, the single vase has some light fritting and light surface scratches.

A group of Chinese 18th century porcelain including small teapot decorated in underglaze blue with crane and ducks to either side, height 9cm, an ovoid vase with slender neck, pair of trumpet vases (one af), pair of bottle vases and three tea bowls.Additional InformationThe small pair of vases; one is badly damaged, fritting to the inner rim of the teapot, the pair of bottleneck vases; one has a small chip and a 6mm hairline crack running from the neck, the larger vase appears ok, three small tea bowls have some surface wear and fritting to the foot rims. The yen yen vases are not a pair, they are different sizes.

A large Satsuma vase, the neck decorated with birds amongst branches with a continuous mountainous river landscape to the lower section, signed to base, height 22.8cm.Provenance: from a private Worcestershire collection.Additional InformationSome rubbing to the gilding around the rim, other minor rubbing, crazing to inside the neck. The vase was purchased as being by Yabu Meizan but please refer to mark for your own opinion.

Other light areas of rubbing to the gilding, some crazing as expected, overall OK.
