A collection of Masons Ironstone Blue Mandalay and Mandalay patterned wares, including large shaped bowl, ice bucket, stand, lidded vase, two bowls a jug and a Masons limited edition Penang jug (78/200). CONDITION REPORT: All items in this lot are in structurally good order with no chips, no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The small jug has faint and sparse crazing to the foot rim visible with the naked eye.
A collection of eight pieces of Masons Mandalay and Blue Mandalay patterned wares, including cheese dish, three way dish, large vase etc. Tallest 30 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The three-way dish is a little dirty and has scratches to the underside and does not ring true when tapped. There is also some rubbing to the gilding on the handle. All other pieces in this lot are in good order and free from any chips, damage, repair or restoration. There is no crazing visible to the naked eye.
A 19th century Copeland Spode Italian blue and white lidded vase. Height 31 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both the vase and lid are in generally good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. We cannot see any hairline cracks. The undecorated sections of both the lid and vase base are typically crazed.
A Royal Doulton galleon vase by Maud Bowden, impressed and inscribed with initials. Height 17 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The vase is in generally good condition with no issues of any significant note. There are no hairline cracks and no restoration. There is one very small glaze nibble around the foot rim.
A Morris ware George Cartlidge vase, decorated in slight relief with floral motifs and with green printed signature to base. Height 16 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This vase is structurally sound with no cracks or hairline cracks. There are some signs of wear to the glaze in terms of loss of colour and one or two defects to the glaze in places. Spots of loss of glaze to one or two areas of the shoulder of the vase. The base shows signs of wear in places.
Two 19th century small Chinese vases, one with relief moulded lizard the other decorated with birds on branches. Tallest 9 cm, together with two modern cloisonne vases. CONDITION REPORT: The lizard decorated vase has no apparent losses, cracks or hairline cracks. The structure is good. There is some dirt consummate with age to the decoration and wear to the base. The second vase has a significant chip to the base which is visible when looking at the vase from the front or side again some wear to the base. The cloisonne vase show signs of wear consummate with age.
Late 19th/early 20th century Chinese porcelain cylindrical vase, in the Kangxi style with four character mark to base. Height 30 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There are numerous chips and losses to the rim of the base. Discoloration to the rim of the base both through dirt, handling and small holes which have been discoloured with moisture. Numerous small chips to the rim of the top of the vase, some small areas of discolouration in the glaze, no apparent cracks or hairline cracks to effect the structure of the vase.
