A CHINESE CLOISONNE HU-SHAPED VASE MING/QING DYNASTY The pear-shaped body decorated with lotus flowerheads and scrolling foliage against a turquoise ground, the design divided by dark blue bands containing simple blossoms and leaves, with two applied lion head masks suspending loose rings to the sides, all raised on a tall flared foot, 34cm. Provenance: from a Scottish private collection acquired in London in 1967 and thence by descent.

A CHINESE BRONZE HU-SHAPED VASE 18TH CENTURY The ovoid body tapering towards the foot and surmounted by a gently flaring neck, cast in relief with taotie masks reserved on a key fret ground, the sides with two animal mask handles suspending loose rings, with areas of detail highlighted in gilt and inlaid silver, the base with a raised geometric design, all supported on a short spread foot, 31.2cm, 3.28kg.
A CHINESE BRONZE ARCHAISTIC HU-SHAPED VASE QING DYNASTY The neck with four loose ring handles and two zoomorphic ring handles to the shoulder, with four bands around the body decorated with a dense diaper pattern, all raised on a slightly flared foot, a twin fish mark to the base, together with a wood stand, 30.3cm, 3.8kg.
