A ceramic black figure ware vase with wide rim, narrow neck, arching handle and globular body decorated with Dionysus seated on the back of a mule with a naked satyr to the front and back, both holding drinking horns; decorative band to the shoulder and base. 563 grams, 26cm (10 1/4). Property of a Surrey lady, by inheritance; formerly in the collection of the late Brian Grover; acquired UK, 1970s-1990s. [No Reserve]. Fair condition, repaired.

A group of mixed items consisting of: a bronze belt mount in the form of amphora with looped handles; a silver rectangular belt plate with vase shaped pattern with tripod end and domed top with a beaded border; a silver belt plate with two flowers in a beaded border; a bronze thimble with hatched surface; a bronze kick spur with six points; a silver pendant with central roundel and nine spheres surrounding; a bronze mount in the form of a horse head with harness; a silver coin with facing bust to the obverse, mounted warrior to the reverse. 79 grams, 14-43mm (1/2 - 1 3/4). A group of Imari vessels consisting of: a sake cup with gilded roundels to the rim, frieze of scholars to the body with gilding to the robes and background, makers mark to the base; a vase with waisted neck, body decorated with panel of chrysanthemum flowers to one side, peach blossom and bird to other side with areas of gilding, makers mark to the base; a vase with long thin neck decorated with gilded image of a phoenix to the top, mountains, flowers and birds to lower section; globular body with flowers and gilded decoration to the shoulder, below scene of a man, woman and child in a landscape with blossom, lake with boat and mountains; makers mark to the base. 530 grams total, 4.5-25cm (1 3/4 - 9 3/4).
