MARECHAL NIEL Manufacture de Sèvres Important vase en porcelaine à fond gros bleu. Monture en bronze patiné et doré finement ciselé. Il est muni de deux anses latérales à enroulements reposant délicatement sur le bord du col à décor d’une frise d’oves et de perles. Hauteur : 41 cm. XIXe siècle. Avec un billet manuscrit avec entête du Jockey Club, en date du 24 septembre 1999 : « Ce vase de Sèvres, qui appartenait à la maréchale Niel, et qui lui fut offert par le Maréchal de Mac Mahon, a été choisi pour faire mémoire de la fondation du prix Niel, course de Lonchamp . Bottom holds impressed calligraphy marks and `MADE IN CHINA`. Circa Republic period or later, 20th century. Measures 19 5/8"" height (49.8cm). Total weight of 2488 grams.
