H304 and a cylindrical jug with gilt decorated handle no. 1047 (chip to rim), 15.5 cms, 24.5 cms and 22.5 cms high respectively, all floral decorated with puce backstamps

A group of three miniature Xenon-ware vessels comprising: an olpe vase with single lateral handle, painted ochre lotus buds to the shoulder and tendril pattern to the body; a kantharos with lateral handles and ochre palmette detail to the body; a kantharos with lateral handles and ochre Greek key pattern to the body. 136 grams total, 46-57mm (1 7/8 - 2 1/4"). Property of an Essex gentleman; previously from a 1980s London collection. [3, No Reserve] Fine condition, repaired.
2nd-3rd century AD. A sheet silver piriform vase with discoid base, carinated shoulder, tall neck and flared rim with small pouring lip; parcel-gilt band of grapevine ornament with pointillé borders, similar band to the shoulder with profile putti. See Carducci, C. Gold and Silver Treasures of Ancient Italy, London, 1969 for discussion. 155 grams, 14cm (5 1/2"). Early Dynastic Period, early 3rd millennium BC. A slender vase with tapering body, everted rim, carved from fossiliferous black limestone containing numerous corals. 524 grams, 19cm (7 1/2"). From the private collection of a North West London lady; previously with a central London gallery; formerly acquired before 1990, supplied with geologic report No. TL005184, by geologic consultant Dr R. L. Bonewitz. A macehead made from the same rare limestone was auctioned at Christie's New York in 2009, lot 2. 4th-5th century AD. A silver vase with discoid flat base, globular body, gently narrowing to the neck, flared rim; applied loop handle to the side; to the body, six applied bosses, each with raised lobed centre surrounded by a pellet border. See Cleveland Museum of Art, accession number: 1961.200 for a vase with similar shape. 550 grams, 14.5cm (5 3/4"). From the collection of a North London gentleman; acquired in the 1980s. Doulton stoneware vase with bulbous neck, shouldered and tapering, mottled blue glaze with relief floral and foliate decoration, Doulton Slaters stoneware vase with blue and gilt floral decoration, foliate borders, Doulton Lambeth stoneware vase in brown, blue, gilt and royal blue and Doulton and Slaters stoneware ewer (4) All items with damage and restoration. Small ewer; repair to rim where handle is, and handle has been completely off. Bulbous necked vase; repainting to rim which is masking extensive repair. Shortest vase; has extensive restoration throughout, has been widely smashed in the past. Blue vase with gold middle band; neck has been smashed and re-glued. ALL - Considerable signs of wear and tear.
