A Chinese pottery vase, with a high fired blue/purple glaze, cracked, chipped and repaired, 36 cm high See illustration Condition report Report by GHVase has been broken off to around half way down the neck with associated small losses and several cracked areas. Some of these cracks have opened up. The repair has been made with glue and tape which is still on the inside of the neck. There has also been some filler and very old restoration around these cracks. There are a couple of glaze chips to the lower part of the vase and two foot-rim chips. Chinese characters are visible in four places on the base.

All four plates have some rim nibbles and minor chips but no cracks or obvious restoration. The bowl has been fully restored, having been previously broken.
A pair of early 18th century walnut dining chairs, with solid vase shaped splats, drop in seats, and shell capped cabriole front legs, with pad feet, and similar mahogany dining chair, on turned stretchers (3) See illustration Provenance: From Capard House, Loais, Ireland Condition report Report by GHThe single chair is generally in good condition with no obvious damage to areas or spliced legs, restorations etc. The rear corner blocks, which are visible when you take out the drop in seats, are in oak and appear to be of more recent addition. The pair of chairs: one of them is slightly loose on the back. Both have occasional signs of old wood worm holes. At the top of one of the backs of the chairs, has a old small repair to the right hand side. Both chairs have general signs of age and use, such as scratches, nicks and scuffs.

A pair of Japanese Satsuma vases, decorated figures and dwellings, 19 cm high, a similar vase, two similar mugs, other ceramics and books relating to Japanese works of art Condition report Report by GHNo obvious damages to Satsuma items but all have light crazing. The monkey seems to have originally been holding something which is no longer present.The monkey jar and cover has a couple of firing cracks but generally in reasonable condition.
A Chinese famille rose vase and cover, decorated a peacock in flight, flowers and foliage on a turquoise ground, the upper border decorated sea creatures, chips, cracks and old restorations to body and cover, 48 cm high Condition report Report by GHThe cover has a large section broken off and re-attached with staple fasteners. Also a small inner rim chip. The body has had its neck broken off and re-attached with staples and the over paint is visible having mostly cracked off. The neck also has a single hairline crack going down to the repair where the neck meets the body. The body itself generally appears relatively free of any damage, there is some crazing to the glaze and small flakes and losses.

Small glaze faults all over. Horizontal firing bolt going in a line around the bottom of the border decoration on the neck.

Both chairs have some general signs of use and occasional non-structural small cracks. One of the chairs has a slightly damaged rear right leg, with the rear most curved section missing and signs of wood worm. The same chair also has a loose piece of wood at the front of the top section of the same rear right leg. Aside from this, no other signs of wood worm in either of the chairs.
