A large Chinese famille rose turquoise ground baluster vase, first half 19th century, painted with various birds including a phoenix and a peacock amid scrolling foliage and flowers on a turquoise ground, the high shoulder applied with a pair of animal mask ring handles, 61.5cm high, together with a Chinese hongmu stand, total height 99cmCONDITION: The vase has some slight wear to the gilding on the rim and a slight glaze flake on one small area of the rim, typical minor glaze imperfections, two shallow splinter chips to the inside of the foot, possibly made in manufacture otherwise in good condition with no restoration or cracks detected, the wood stand has been adapted and someone has taken another wood stand turned it upside down put it on the other and screwed it into position, some of the joints are a bit loose, have been re-glued and there is a section of the frieze missing on the lower part of the stand.

A brass and ebonised bronze figure of an African water carrier, with vase on her head and brass rings around her neck and one leg, on integral plinth base with maker's stamp, height 46in.CONDITION: Brass work in fair state of polish, ebonised bronze work has had much of the original patination rubbed away over the years, base is a little scuffed but overall honest condition.

A pair of large Chinese celadon ground famille rose two handled vases, second half 19th century, each painted with court scenes within borders of birds, flowers and fruit, the trumpet shaped neck applied with a pair of zoomorphic handles and with a ruyi head moulded collar, 62.5cm highCONDITION: One vase neck is extensively broken with some white filler to losses around the area and some poor quality restoration on the neck, the second vase is in slightly better condition with a section of the neck broken and reglued, one of the handles has become detached and restuck but with a filler area replacement to middle section, otherwise in reasonable condition.

A pair of Japanese Satsuma pottery bottle vases, by Yabu Meizan, Meiji period, each finely painted with children in rafts floating on a river, the neck with a helix brocade design within keywork and lappeted borders, gilt four character seal marks to base, 12.5cm highCONDITION: One vase has a 10mm x 8mm chip to the inside of the rim which is slightly visible from the exterior with an associated hairline crack extending downward from this, which is only really visible on the inside, both vases have some slight staining to the inside of the necks and some wear to the gilding on the rims, there are other tiny areas of wear to the gilding all over, the vase in better condition has some wear to the gilt mark underneath.
