A Staffordshire twin handled documentary mug, mid 19th century, the puce body with scroll bordered cartouche containing printed inscription 'IN REMEMBERANCE OF ANN JOHNSON, OF STAFFORD STREET, HANLEY, WHO DIED NOVEMBER THE 30TH, 1865, AGED 28 YEARS', polychrome floral reserve verso, gilt highlights throughout, 14.5cm high, with a similar smaller example with printed inscription 'W & C CURRIER 1855', 13cm high, and a similarly decorated French Le Tallec urn form vase, with red painted inscription 'Dessine et peint entierement a la main par Le Tallec a Paris France' to base, 14cm high (3)

Lot 374

A Poole pottery earthenware vase, early 20th century, of tapering ovoid form with cobalt, green and yellow decoration upon a white ground, 'Carters Poole' incised to base, 29.5cm high (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:The piece shows several extensive cracks running from the rim down the body.  Two of these cracks have horizontal cracks running between them, creating loose sections in the body with some losses to the edges of these sections.  There are further horizontal hairline cracks running around the majority of the circumference of the piece approximately 11cm above the foot rim.  The piece shows firing pits and frits at  various points across the body.

A Moorcroft 'Honesty' pattern sleeve vase, early 20th century, impressed marks and applied label to base, 21cm high (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:The piece shows various small faults to the flambe glaze, particularly to the high points of the tube lined design.  Variations in the texture of the glaze suggests possible restoration to the rim, however examination under UV shows no evidence  of this.

A Moorcroft vase of ovoid form, decorated in the 'Fairy Rings' pattern by Phillip Richardson, impressed maker's marks to base, 18.5cm high CONDITION REPORT:The piece shows fine surface crazing throughout, but no visible chips, cracks or losses.  There is a small area where removal of dirt has left some residue on the surface.

An Art Deco Lalique "Ceylan" vase, early 20th century, designed by René Lalique (1860-1945) and introduced in 1924, the opalescent vase press moulded in high relief with pairs of budgerigars perched on a foliate trellis, frosted and polished with remnants of blue staining, wheel-cut 'R.LALIQUE' to base, 24cm high (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:The piece shows a 5cm wide navette shaped loss to the rim, and a drilled hole to the body.  The rim shows surface scratching, and there is further fine surface scratching and minor surface wear throughout.  The piece is dirty and would benefit from cleaning.

A Chinese famille verte vase, 19th century, the rouleau shaped body externally decorated in the Kangxi manner depicting warriors, double concentric blue marks to the underside (at fault), 30.5cm high CONDITION REPORT:The piece shows a heart-shaped chip to the rim approximately 9mm wide which develops into a hairline crack at the tip.  There is also a further 2mm wide loss to the rim.  The body shows fine surface wear and some fine surface scratching. 

Lot 437

A large Chinese polished brass phoenix tail Gu vase, trumpet form neck and compressed body on stepped domed foot, etched with geometric patterns and foliate detail, 44.3cm high, together with a brass modelled of a dragon, 19cm long (2) CONDITION REPORT:The piece shows two drilled holes to the neck, each of which has welding residue on the inside.  Some of the etched detail shows wear and colour variation.  The body and rim show the odd small dent, some pitting, surface wear and some fine surface scratching.  The piece shows tarnishing throughout and polish build up against the highpoints.

A selection of 18th century Chinese porcelain, comprising; a Yongzheng (1722-1735) pseudo Tobacco leaf rouge-decorated plate, 23cm diameter, an Imari decorated tea caddy, 10cm high, an Imari decorated and later clobbered baluster vase, 18cm high, and a Qianlong (1736-1795) sparrow beak blue and white cream jug, 12cm high (4) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:The plate shows rubbing to the gilt highlights and firing pits and frits across the top and bottom surfaces.The tea caddy shows chips and nibbles to the rim and edges, firing pits and frits and rubbing to the gilt highlights.The vase shows rubbing to the gilt highlights, firing pits and frits, and wear to the decoration. There is a chip approximately 5mm wide to the rim, with further nibbles around the rim.The jug shows some staining to the glaze of the spout, but no visible chips, cracks or losses.

A selection of Japanese Satsuma wares, 20th century, each piece millefiori decorated, to include a pair of vases, 16cm high, a vase 17cm high, two lobed bowls, largest 14.5cm wide, and three further smaller bowls, (8) (at fault) CONDITION REPORT:All pieces show fine surface crazing and rubbing to the gilt highlights.  One of the pair of vases shows a repair to the rim, neck and shoulder.  The smallest bowl shows extensive repairs.
