A crack (20cm) runs from a taotie mask’s eye all the way down to the base. A horizontal crack (8cm) near the base. None of the crack affects the stability of the vessel. A small pit yo one handle. Minor dents and nicks to the surface. General ware commensurate with age, especially near the extremities and the base.

Two Chinese bronze vessels, comprising: an archaistic square gu vase, fanggu, Ming Dynasty, decorated with loose rings overall over archaistic stylised bands, the interior with six zhuanshu characters, 28.5cm high, and a circular incense burner with cast calligraphic panels, Xuande 16-character mark, Qing Dynasty, 13.7cm diam.Provenance: Estate of the late designer Anthony Powell (1935 – 2021).明 銅飾活環方觚及銅式爐來源:設計師安東尼·鮑威(1935 – 2021)藏。The fanggu with at least two large split cracks to the body, rather precarious, and two cracks to the edges of the base. Loss to at least one of the loose rings. Patches of verdigris and other agents overall. The incense burner with overpolishing to base and general expected surface wear.

A Chinese bronze bellied vase, 18th century, of slightly compressed bulbous form supported by a splayed foot, the short neck with a pair of loop handels attached to the sides, the exterior covered with patina of reddish brown colour, 12.5cm high十九世紀 銅雙活環耳瓶Surface patina of reddish brown colour. There is an area of associated repairs to the shoulder, please refer to the image. Some wear to the base body. All wear commensurate with age.

A set of late 19th/early 20th century, Queen Anne style walnut dining chairs, the foliate and shell carved, vase shaped splats, above slip-in-seats, raised on cabriole legs, united by three turned and block stretchers and a fourth turned stretcher, terminating in club feet, one restored, some with minor damage (6)Overall - nice quality and faithful copies.Webbing torn and loose on some seats and several with later webbing. in short some need re-webbing. One standard chair with middle stretcher chipped and lacking much finish, another with a similarly worn middle stretcher. Another with cracked cresting rail (re-stuck) just above splat. Minor scratches and dents consistent with age and use.

(6)All structurally solid and sturdy with no movement to the joints. Some general minor cosmetic wear in places consistent with age and use.
