a Wedgwood Magnolia Ware Art Pottery Double Gourd Vase, painted with anemone and daisies, in a Rockingham glaze, impressed marks "Wedgwood England S", 47cm literature: Batkin (Maureen) Wedgwood Ceramics 1846-1959, Richard Dennis 1982, page 67, plate 124 magnolia ware was introduced in about 1895. This ware was made from a red body, then painted in slip and the whole covered in a Rockingham glaze which was allowed to thin to reveal the decoration.
