Main bearing pedestals, big end bearings and eccentric straps, all with sight feed drop lubricators. Bevel gear drive camshafts to operate drop valve gear. Gear driven porter governor with hydraulic damper and overspeed trip safety latch, adjustable ballast weight for speed control, governor controls HP index valves. Studded stuffing box glands on piston rods, low pressure cylinder driven Edwards type air and condensation extractor pump with adjacent jet condenser, fitted with tail slide, manual adjustment on low pressure inter trip valves. All mounted on a cast alloy base, simulated stone base with a floor, finished grey, maroon and red, base board approximately 76 x 61cm, pressure gauges, boiler 0-120 psi, low 0-80 psi and vacuum 0-30 HG (Front Cover Illus)
