A similar diorama, again depicting a WW1 battle scene. Entitled Over The Top, by Lee Wares. Featuring two corners of a British trench, with a number of soldiers examining a map and taking orders from an Officer. A similar number of soldiers have gone over the top and are advancing with a second Officer. Also featured are a large field gun with team, a massive tank and a British bi-plane passing overhead. The trench is detailed with substantial platforming, ladders and cryptic notices such as ‘suicide corner’. Piles of ammunition and tools abound. Measures overall 45cm x 40cm. GC-VGC. WW2 British Uniform grouping to Major EN Liggins T.D. Major Liggings was a pre war TA Officer in the Royal Warwickshire Regt who later transfered to the RA.
