A BING O Gauge Flying Scotsman C/W Train Set comprising a LNER Green 4-6-0 Flying Fox and no 4472 3 axle Tender ( minor age crazing to Paint work otherwise Excellent), 2 Bing LMS Maroon Coaches with opening Lids revealing Tables and Chairs (age crazing to Paint work otherwise Excellent) and an oval of Bing wooden sleepered C/W Track. The Set is housed in an Excellent Blue Box with a Map of the 'Flying Scotsman route on the inside of the Lid. A rare Boxed find in this condition.

A Willem Blaeu 1572-1635 Antique Map of France, from a book depicting the area of the Comte du Brie region bound by the Seine and Marne rivers, engraved to show mountains, forests and cities, the bottom left title and scale cartouche show cherubs hunting. The verso of the map is a geographic history of Comte du Brie an area in Champagne.
Galveston Bay & Texas Land Company 1830. One Sitio of land (4,428 400/1000 acres). Map of the area situated between Austin's Colony and Louisiana. The text certifies that the trustees and attorneys of Lorenzo De Zavala, Joseph Vehlein, and David G. Burnet give Thomas E. Davis....their consent to the location of and holding in severalty, One Sitio of Land. Very Fine+.The Galveston Bay & Texas Land Company was founded in order to promote the colonization of lands, located immediately to the east of the Austin Colony between the San Jacinto and Sabine Rivers. The price was five cents an acre, but the certificates were of little worth and, perhaps fraudulent. A great piece of early Texas history. From the John E. Herzog Collection
New Jersey Oil Company (New York) 1853. 40 shares. No.259. Whale hunting on the high seas. A whale boat tossed into the sky by an angry leviathan can be seen in the distance. Sailor and map of New York Bay indicating the location of the New Jersey Oil Company "works." W. L. Ormsby, printer. Issued, uncancelled. Pinhole, otherwise Very Fine. In the 1850s, before the petroleum industry began, whale oil was widely in use for illuminating and lubricating purposes, but the whale oil had to be refined before it could be utilized. W. L. Ormsby, the printer and engraver of this certificate, also printed bank notes, and his work is widely collected.From the John E. Herzog Collection.
