"f" for "p" variety, 1937-40 set less 15r., 1958 Map coil strips of six values, a few later varieties, Indo-Chine 1957 three different 2n.p. values in blocks of sixty-three, Chalo Delhi 1p. maroon and Azad Hind labels (14). An unusual 1914 gift tin, of EPNS with etched design to the lid, similar to Princess Mary?s gift tin but with ?1914? replacing her head in the central panel, the lid being a push on fit instead of hinged; 2 Princess Mary?s gift tins, one containing letter from Buckingham Palace; an engraved silver plated tankard bearing map of North Africa and the Mediterranean, made from brass salvaged from the battlefields of N Africa; a presentation silver plated tankard; an aluminium cup engraved ?Souvenir de Captivitee?; and a wooden bread tray carved with badge and ?1st Royal Tank Regiment?. (Issue No 13, 1957), ?LRDG Association Nominal Roll? in which his name appears, a German soldier?s Soldbuch, woven breast eagle and DRL stick pin badge; also a silk escape map of Sofia/Tirana, a paper map of a small part of Italy, dated 1943, a coloured tourist plan of Rome, a typed manual of the ?Mountain Warfare Training Centre Ski Wing?, dated Winter 1942/43. a similar typed ?Manual of Rock Technique and Method of Instruction?, produced by the Mountain Wing, Middle East Mountain Warfare Training Centre 1943-44, and ?Long Range Desert Group? by W B Kennedy Shaw (Collins 1945) inscribed with the author?s compliments and signature and some items relating to his subsequent service in Korea with the Gloucestershire Regtiment, including Pay Book, Discharge Certificate, 2 cap badges, back badge and another, pair dog tags, bedplate (Buffs), Buffs sweetheart brooch, etc, in a biscuit tin.
