Kent.- Hasted (Edward) The History and Topographical Survey of the County of Kent 4 vol., lacks folding map of Kent, addendum to plates list in vol. 1 states that this is due to a fire at the engravers and the map will appear in vol.2, which it does not, vol. 4 lacks the Dedication to Pitt, and the maps in this vol., although correct, appear non-original, otherwise maps and illustrations as called for, early 20th.C. half morocco, a clean copy with many of the illustration guard-slips in place. Contains 2 letters dated 1929, probably from a bookseller, describing the set to a potential buyer, folio, for the Author, 1778-1799.
