Pte H.Madders 1st City of London, Royal Fusiliers, 56th Dvision. Interesting collection of "Souvenirs" Large Official map showing Ground gained and prisoners taken by the British Army from March to November 1918, Madders has written a note indicating that he Fought here in these Battles from March 28th to November 11th 1918, Also "A souvenir (crucifix) taken from one of 19 Germans I captured singlehanded at Bellecourt in the Hindenburg Line...." Finally a "piece of spent shrapnel that hit me on the forearm without drawing blood ....August 19th 1918. The last two with handwritten labels. (3 items)
