HITLER ADOLF: (1889-1945) Fuhrer of the Third Reich 1934-45. An unusual 12mo page removed from a notebook bearing various pencil notes in the hand of Adolf Hitler. The Fuhrer has written a holograph list, in German, including the names and words Amann, Ritter, Polizei, Koster, Angela and at the base a list of towns (Leipzig, Mayerling, Dessau and Zerbst) alongside the word Town Map. Accompanied by an original copy of a statement of provenance signed by Hitler`s housekeeper, Anni Winter, and bearing the original signature and stamps of the Department of Justice in Vienna. Holograph notes by Hitler are scarce. VG The Fuhrer evidently refers to Max Amann (1891-1957, Nazi official and SS-Obergruppenfuhrer) and Angela `Geli` Raubal (1908-1931, Hitler`s half-niece who was rumoured to have been his lover).
BECK LUDWIG (1880-1944) German General of World War II, one of the leaders of the failed 20 July Plot against Hitler. Committed suicide & FRITSCH WERNER VON (1880-1939) Wehrmacht officer, a member of the German High Command. The second German General to be killed in World War II. A fine, large signed 15.5 x 13 photograph by both Beck and Fritsch individually, the image depicting the two Generals, each wearing white uniforms, seated either side of a desk. Fritsch studies a map which is laid dout before him. Signed by both with their names alone in bold fountain pen ink to the lower photographer`s mount. An extremely rare pair of signatures, particularly so in this form. VG Provenance: Originally sold in a Charles Hamilton auction on 18th October 1979, Lot 194.
