An important large early 19th Century Irish Regency period Serving Table, in the manner of Thomas Hope, the low panelled back over a breakfront top and a deep inlaid frieze, with centre carved lions head, flanked on both sides by four smaller lions heads, on six large tapering square legs, each terminating in a carved paw foot, approx. 290 cms (9'6") long, 130cms (51") to top of back. (1)* The Odell Family: Robert Fennell (c. 1700 - 1768) son of John Fennell and his wife Elizabeth (nee Johnson). He married Frances, daughter of Samuel Cox of Ballinor, Ballingarry, Co. Limerick, and his wife Constance Fitzmaurice. He was father of Frances, wife of John Crone, Elizabeth, wife of John Odell, and Constance, wife of Thomas Odell.* Purchased at Castletown Cox Sale 1991.

Egan, Killarney, Arbutus Works, the crossbanded top with herringbone and interwoven shamrock design, the centre with large oval design of the ruins of Muckross Abbey, the lift top opening to reveal a fitted interior secret well and the reverse with harp design, on a shaped pillar support terminating in a circular base with three carved lion paw feet.
