A Victorian coromandel and ebonised vanity case containing various cut glass dressing table bottles with silver plated mounts, button hooks, scissors, penknife, etc, as well as two further drawers, one opening to reveal label inscribed "Charles Henry Manchester" CONDITION REPORTS Numerous light surface scratches to the wood, accretions and some discolouration and fading in areas mainly to the front and the top of the box. Some splits to the veneer, one to the front left corner of the lid and continues round to the side of the lid. A couple of small splits to the right hand side of the lid. There is an area of loss to the ebony banding in the back right hand corner of the box, numerous scuffs and knocks and small dents to the wood. Possibly a small area of repair to the veneer in the middle of the front of the lid. The bottles and items have some light surface scratches both to the silver and to the glass. Some of the bottles have chips to the rims. The vanity mirror has several cracks. Some fadinf and discolouration to the velvet and a split to the leather on one of the trays. Item has general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for more details.
