A pine farmhouse-style kitchen table; in late 19th / early 20th century style and of good colour and proportions; slightly overhanging patinated top; four turned tapering legs (214 cm wide x 90 cm deep x 77 cm high)In the Auctioneer's opinion, the overall look of the piece is late 19th century and it has the colour, scratches and marks that would seem to corroborate this age. However, looking under the table, there are new strengtheners where the top is affixed to the base and there are hinges in each of the corners holding the base together where it meets the top, and the top is affixed to the base with new wood and new screws. In the Auctioneer's opinion the purchaser should buy it as a good-looking and functional farmhouse-style table and not a 'pure' antique.
Four stools and a wine table:a Regency-style mahogany stool with cross-frame supports, another with high cabriole legs; a circular stool of small proportions;a 19th century milking-style stool of interesting shape and good colour, and with patinated elm top;a walnut-topped tripod wine table.
