A Regency rosewood work tableinlaid with stringing and thuya wood banding, the rounded drop flap top above a drawer, opposing dummy drawer and pleated work bag, on turned tapered legs ending in brass cappings and castorsheight 73.5cm, width 36cm, 72cm when open, depth 46cmCondition: Good overall, joints firm. There are some old marks and scratches commensurate with age and use. There are two patches of worn polish to the front. Very minor losses to the stringing and a small area of banding has been reset. The drawer formerly had dividers.

The drawer runners are renewed. Minor splits to areas of the slides. One platform end piece is detached but present. There is a key.

Old wormholes and some losses to the base and let in veneer pieces in places. Some small nibbles to the lower edge of the frieze and some small areas where veneers have bubbled. There are splits to the base veneers.

The top is slightly uneven due to carcase wood shrinkage, but the veneers are OK. Some veneer cracks to the base and three feet are lacking their upper scrolls.
