A fine quality model engineer built example of Sir William Congreve’s rolling ball clock, built by Mr R.Webb of Brisbane, Australia, to the drawings and the building book published by John Wilding, MBE FBHI, the clock almost unique in being constructed mainly from stainless steel, with all traditional features including skeletonised tilting table, and turned columns with spire finials supporting the fusee driven movement, with three subsiduary dials with Roman numerals recording hours, minutes and half minutes, the plinth 38cm x 38cm, overall 42cm high.
