A Louis XV style gilt carved wood console table, with a marble top, 140 cm wide See illustration Condition report Report by RB Probably 30-40 years old, but a good decorative/flamboyant piece. Very minor/slight damage, really just needs a good clean to freshen it up.
A 19th century Dutch walnut drop leaf table, with floral marquetry and other inlaid decoration, on tapering fluted legs, 149 cm wide See illustration Condition report Report by RB Purchased by the vendor from a local antique shop within the past five years, where he paid £2,500 for it. There are several areas of repair to the marquetry decoration, a few small splits, and with some areas of the boxwood stringing now missing. A silver table, of shaped rectangular form, the top embossed a lady in a swing and gentleman resting, having a drawer, on four cabriole legs, William Comyns, London 1901, 18 cm wide See illustration Condition report Report by MW The table has a structure of wood with the silver moulded over it. Looking from above, the scroll decoration has several small areas of damage to the points. The table stands square on all four legs and does not rock. There would appear to be no solder repairs or splits in the silver. The silver drawer front is attached to the drawer carcass, by six screws, one of which is a later replacement. The drawer does not fit very well into the table carcass. The embossed decoration on the table top is worn and there is not so much definition as there should be i.e. the spaces are worn.
