A miniature brush silk Top Hat reputedly belonging to General Tom Thumb and other items, the hat with red silk lining and black ribbon with bow, 3 ½” (9cm) tall, provenance: lot 298 9th April 1975 Christies of London, together with a pair of leather boots, white cotton shirt with pleated front and button opening, white waistcoat, single kit leather glove, miniature portrait of General Tom Thumb, booklet entitled General Tom Thumb ‘Remarkable Dwarfs, Giants and other Human Phenomena, of Ancient and Modern Times’ and the Childs Magazine book for the year 1828, miniature leather purse with card for Rotunda, Dublin. All displayed in a glass topped chinoiserie style display table, 32” (81cm) tall.
