CONDITION REPORT: The table is a good colour. It is structurally sound. There are no loose joints. Both leaf tips appear to have been detached at some point in Victorian times. They both have metal bracing supports underneath. There has also been a loss to the inner edge of one tip which has some black filler in the gap. The legs are all in good order with no repairs or any breaks. There are some very minor traces of old woodworm to the rectangular top support but these are clearly long gone.

There is a further 50 cm stress fracture and various scratches to the top. The two bearers beneath are both loose and nearly detached. The pedestal base is in better order with no significant issues. It is structurally solid with significant issues.

The table could be used in its current state without the need for any work. The only minor drawback is that there are numerous old dark ring marks to the top surface which is often the case. The top is of good colour and has a nice patina. Height from floor to underside of tabletop 69 cm. Height to the actual top of the table 71 cm. the diameter of the column above the base turning is +/- 9 cm. The distance from the point of one foot to the next one is 58.5 cm. The snap action works as it should. The two brass pegs are present. The bearers beneath the table have evidence of old woodworm which appear to be long gone and in our opinion is not problematic. The table is structurally very sound on the base and there is no movement. The faceted column and petal carvings beneath are in generally good condition with only minor stress fractures and marks. The circular base below is in good order and the feet are original with wooden roller castors beneath.

It is in completely unrestored condition. There are old long gone woodworm holes in the top surface and various old stress fractures and marks as one would expect. The top is however flat with no significant undulations. The end supports are structurally very sound and there are no loose joints. The same comments apply to the two angled stretchers. We can see no evidence of any woodworm in either the legs or the supports. The woodworm to the top does appear to be long gone.
An Adam style painted console table, with faux marble effect top and raised on tapered legs of square section. Width 171 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Height 92 cm, depth 49 cm. The table is structurally in very good condition with no loose joints. There are no serious condition issues either. A Georgian mahogany side table, the rectangular top with moulded edge and rounded corners with recessed frieze and raised on cabriole type legs terminating in pad feet. Width 64 cm, depth 53 cm, height 69 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table requires some work. Whilst the top is flat it has numerous old scratches and marks. The top looks to have been polished at some time which is clearly not correct. The polish is beginning to perish in places and some is missing. The front frieze is in good order. The moulding beneath is in good condition too. The stiles on both front legs have split apart from the front rail and there is a gap on both sides. These need drawing in. The front legs are otherwise in good condition. They have however both been pegged at the top block. The rear legs similarly have peg marks in the top block which joins the side and front rails of the frieze. The right hand rear leg has split away from the frieze also. The table is in need of some restoration but has the making of a decent piece of furniture.

A Moorish octagonal inlaid mother of pearl occasional table, of typical form. Width 61 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. The inlaid mother of pearl has numerous losses to the top surface and is probably only around 90% intact. One panel is particularly affected. The table top is also very dirty. The surrounding frame also has some losses to the mother of pearl. The marquetry stringing is in generally good condition to all areas of the top. The supporting leg sections are in generally better condition. There do not appear to be any significant losses to the mother of pearl panels. There is one section of ebonised veneer missing beneath the top where the top one of the legs butts up against the underside edge of the top. There are other minor nibbles but no significant veneer or marquetry losses to the base. One leg has a split which runs from the bottom edge three quarters of the way up the leg, there is slight movement here. There are also other minor stress fractures to the ebonised panels.

The snap action is original and operates as it should. The rectangular boss beneath the action is scuffed and marked and has some stress fractures to the timber but as these are not visible this in our opinion is not an issue. The centre turned column is in good order. Three of the four legs are in very good order with no issues. One leg has had a break below the scroll and there is very slight movement at the join. The table is however serviceable without needing further repair in this area. All castors and brasswork are present. The tabletop is of good colour and has only minor old surface marks and blemishes as one would expect. The crossbanded edge is intact all round. The edge moulding is in good order and all present. The same comments apply to the egg and dart carved frieze. The only minor issue is the fracture to that one leg. Height to tabletop 71 cm. Height to underside edge of frieze 63.5 cm. Length 150 cm. Width 111 cm. The table does not appear to have been refinished or re-polished and the colour and patina are generally good.
An early 20th century Middle Eastern Moorish design fold over games table, with geometric inlaid decoration and with baize playing surface, chequer board and backgammon surfaces, raised on angled legs. Width 89 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. There are however numerous sections of the bone and specimen wood parquetry and marquetry missing. These are far too many to list. The particularly problematical areas are to the top surface and the bottom section of the legs. The front legs in particular have significant losses below the knees. The front sides and rear of the piece are in much better condition than the top, the rear is in similarly fairly good order. The interior is also in far better condition than the top but there are some areas of loss and the green baize surface requires replacing. The backgammon and chequerboard playing surface to the inner compartment is in fairly good order with no significant losses but there is some staining and liquid damage. The polish is also a little dry in places.

CONDITION REPORT: The table is in generally good order. It is structurally very sound with no loose joints and no movement. It is very sturdy. The top is generally a very good colour and has only minor surface scratches particularly to the very centre. These are minor in our opinion. An Edwardian satinwood Sheraton Revival oval occasional table, painted with floral swags and ribbons raised on legs of square tapered section united by a raised shelf, width 52 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is no missing veneer to the tabletop. There is a small section of +/- 2.5 cm in length missing from the crossbanded edge. The table is structurally sound. We can see no evidence of any repairs or restoration. The condition is generally good with just the usual minor scratches and marks that one would expect from an item of this age.
A 19th century Chinese hardwood altar table, with pierced frieze and raised on moulded legs with stretchers and inner frames. Length 208 cm, depth 43.5 cm, height 103 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The table is structurally sound. The top is of generally a good colour but does have several old ring and watermarks. There are minor old surface scratches but no significant problems with the top. The frieze is in good condition all round. The legs have metal bracing brackets at the bottom where they join the side stretcher. This means that there is no movement but that the joints have been loose at some time in the past. The joints of both bottom stretchers have shrunk away from the legs and there are visible gaps between the joins. This would explain the bracing hoops. In our opinion these are not problematic but they are visible.
A part 17th century and later oak refectory table, a replacement top supported by a period base. 185 cm x 68.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The table top is in very good condition with no significant issues. There are the usual minor surface marks and scratches as one would expect but no warping and no woodworm. The frieze is in good condition all round. The table is structurally extremely sound. There are no loose joints. The four turned legs are all sound but do have the usual losses, scuffs and marks commensurate with the age of the piece. The narrow end stretchers are both serviceable. One is more worn on the inside under edge than the other. There are some minor traces of old long gone woodworm to the base but again this is absolutely typical.
