1968 West Brom FA Cup Final Dinner Menu: The night of the match in which the Baggies won the FA Cup. At Park Lane on 18 5 1968 a quality card menu with blue and white ribbon. C/W 1967 League Cup Final Table plan/list of guests and a 1976 West Brom dinner signed to rear by Joe Mercer. Excellent. (3)
Rare 1966 World Cup Football Ash Tray: Dated 8th July 1966 one each of these ash trays was placed on all of the 40 tables at The Café Royale for this national sporting club dinner with 4 others on the top table. Superb item has World Cup 66 and NSC logos and all 4 groups with participating teams on it. Lovely condition.
A child’s wooden high chair, c 1930s, which folds open to form a chair and table on wheels, the table top with coloured counting beads, and coloured scenes of children playing, animals, and an airship flying overhead; also a wicker arm chair, painted cream with green padded arms and back rest, reputedly from an airship. Basically GC (some wear, slight damage to the latter). (2)

A ‘Hi-Rise’ collectors Cabinet with 5 plastic containers within a wooden frame measuring 52.5x27cm. One plastic side scratched. A 2-tier plated metal framed cabinet 48.5x51x29cm. An all glass cabinet 46x61x30cm with one shelf only, (one shelf missing). Plus 3 wall mounted wood framed cabinets – 61x61x7.5cm with wood shelves, one glass door missing. Plus 2 similar but with glass shelves 78x52x9cm. Basically GC some light wear/cleaning required.
A 19th Century Two Part Carved Mahogany Display Cabinet in the Chinese Chippendale style. The upper section having two glazed doors flanking a carved scenic centre panel with glass shelves to the velvet lined interior above four shallow frieze drawers blind-fret carved with trellis-work. The galleried top centred by a pagoda canopied section with fretted trellis rails either side. The table base having foliate carved edge moulding above two cock-beaded frieze drawers standing on column cluster legs united by a shaped under-shelf, 76½ ins (194 cms) high, 53½ ins (136 cms) wide, 19½ ins (50 cms) deep.
A Pretty Marquetried Work Table. The hinged cartouche-shaped lid edged in gilt brass trim and inlaid with marguerite daisies, sprays of laurel, acanthus scrolls and swept trelliswork panels dotted with quatrefoils, opening to reveal a box interior lined in pink brocade. The swept serpentine apron adorned with a small Vernis Martin style panel depicting cherub with bird's nest to the front and marquetry cartouches to the sides on diagonally grained veneers. The square tapering cabriole legs with gilt mounts. 28 ins (71 cms) high, 16 ins x 14 ins (41 cms x 36 cms).
A Fine Sheraton Revival Inlaid Satinwood Flip-top Card Table. The demi-lune top inlaid with a fanned half patera radiating chains of bellflowers hung from knotted ribbons tied into fluttering bows and festooned in floral swags. The border decorated with a foliate garland entwined in ribbon outlined with stringing. The frieze with inlaid garlands and urns above bellflower chains hanging down the square tapering legs on spade feet. The top folding over to form a circular playing surface covered in green baize with a stamped ornamental border, supported on a swing-out rear leg. 31 ins (79 cms) high, 36 ins (91 cms) in diameter.
A 19th Century Giltwood Pedestal Table (A/F). The round top covered in olive green velvet with a tasseled gros-point pelmet. The carved and gessoed gilt support in the form of a tree on a rocky triform base mounted with the figure of a cherub, 36 ins (91 cms) high, 22 ins (56 cms) in diameter.
An Unusual Late 19th Century Free Standing Display Cabinet. The square serpentine sided case having a flat display platform top above bowed glass sides edged in decoratively cast gilt metal trim and enclosing velvet lined shelves within. The frame-work embellished with caryatids and twisted strings of beading. The table-form base having a swept frieze with ornamental facemask mounts and a drawer to one side, standing on square tapering legs with gilded espagnolettes & sabots, united by a quadriform shelf. 59 ins (150 cms) high, 17 ins (43 cms) wide.
A Late 19th Century Japanese Lacquered Collector's Cabinet on later stand. The rectangular cabinet decorated with chinoiserie scenes depicting cranes amongst scrolling clouds, trees and prunus blossom, and having ornately engraved & pierced brass strap hinges, escutcheons and corner brackets. The doors opening to reveal six drawers inside above a long drawer below. The oak table base on cabriole legs with reeded pad feet, 45 ins (115 cms) in height, 23 ins (59 cms) wide, 13½ ins (34 cms) deep.
A Mahogany Pembroke Table. The oval top having a kingwood cross-banded border edged in stringing with two drop leaves on fly bracket supports. One end fitted with a bow front drawer; the other with a corresponding dummy drawer, standing on a square tapering legs edged in stringing and terminating on brass caps and castors, 28¾ins (73 cms) high, 30 ins x 39 ins (76 cms x 99 cms).
A Fine Chinese Carved Hardwood Table. The rectangular top having a brêche rouge marble centre panel framed in a carved border of entwined bamboo and fruiting vine with a gadrooned edge. The frieze and pierced aprons embellished with undulating garlands of sprouting bamboo and fruiting cherries continued down the legs and along the pierced under-shelf with central X-frame, 32 ins (81 cms) high, 37 ins x 18½ ins (94 cms x 47 cms).
A Pretty 20th Century Ceramic Tray-Topped Table. The tray embellished with scrolling panels of flowers and ornamentation, having a moulded border and shaped ends mounted with scrolling gilt metal handles. The folding wooden X-frame stand painted black with gilding to the ringed moulding and a collar of gilt leaves to each leg 22 ins (56 cms) high, 29 ins x 17½ ins (74 cms x 44.5 cms).
A Fine Quality Carved Walnut Marble Topped Occasional Table in the French Style. The coral coloured marble oblong top having serpentine sides and rounded corners above a moulded edge with swept skirt on cabriole legs. The piece enriched with carved shell crests and sprays of scrolling canthus and flowers. 26¾ ins (68 cms) high, 35½ ins x 25½ ins (90 cms x 65 cms).
A French 20th Century Balzerotti Bedroom Set in the Louis XV Style, comprising of a three drawer chest, dressing table and bedside cabinet hand painted with scrolling strapwork & sprays of flowers on a cream ground edged in gilt moulding. The bombé chest embellished with Rococo gilt metal mounts and handles, 33 ins (84 cms) high, 36 ins (91 cms) wide, 19 ins (48 cms) deep. The dressing table having a cartouche framed swing mirror above a kidney shaped top, shaped apron with frieze drawer and cabriole legs. The oval side cabinet fitted with two small drawers and raised on cabriole legs.
A Small Georgian Mahogany Fold-over Tea Table. The rectangular flame-figured fold-over top having break-front corners above a small central frieze drawer, standing on cabriole legs with pad feet; the rear leg swinging out to support the top. 28½ ins (72 cms) high, 29½ ins (75 cms) wide.
