A late 19th/early 20th century German Hanau? silver two-handled table-centre jardiniere, cast and pierced figural and swag decoration on lion paw feet with blue glass and copper liner, import marks for George Bedingham, hallmarks London 1901, length excluding handles 17cm, height 9cm, 12.9oz weighable (blue glass liner A/F)The silver framing has a few small patch repairs including on the handle where the ball meets the pierced frieze and one of the feet also has a small solder repair, high points of decoration are slightly rubbed but the frame is still nice and sturdy. The blue glass liner has a large section missing from the base and has also been split in half and reglued together, but if the copper liner is in place this damage can only be seen if the jardiniere is upturned, import hallmarks clear, otherwise apparently unmarked.
