A silver harlequin cutlery suite, in the Fiddle pattern, comprising ten table forks, two tablespoons, fifteen dessert forks, twelve dessert spoons, four teaspoons, four coffee spoons, some with monogrammed terminals, various dates and makers but generally London circa 1820-1850; together with a set of six late Georgian teaspoons in the Old English pattern, with engraved terminals, gross weight 75.5oz
A late 19th century Hanau silver gilt table snuff-box, of oval form, the hinged cover repousee decorated with musicians and merry-making figures, the frieze with tavern interior scenes, maker Hanauer Silberwaren-Manufaktur (later Georg Roth & Co) , 7.7oz, w.14.7cm. Hinge good and lid closes well.No holes or splits.Marks good.Some gilt wear to exterior but generally very good.Decoration is crisp.
*A 15ct amethyst, diamond and pearl necklace, cased by Liberty and a matching pair of earrings, the pear shaped amethysts, claw mounted to a single blade set with a single rose cut diamond and single bouton pearl, longest drop 27mm, shortest drop 16mm long, with gold necklace and barrel clasp stamped 15ct, cased by Liberty & Co. Ltd, Regent St., London, together with a matching pair of earrings, each 25mm long, with 9ct screwback fittings. Necklace – light wear throughout consistent with occasional use, far left amethyst has a small chip to edge of table, the other amethyst show minor abrasions (not eye visible), centre pearl shows pitting to nacre (although possibly natural), weight 15.4g.Earrings – light wear throughout consistent with occasional use, one pearl shows signs of wear and peeling to nacre (confined to edges), weight 3.7g.
A five stone ruby ring, the five graduated cushion cut rubies, between approx. 4.1 - 5.8mm wide, set with diamond highlights, scalloped gallery and tapered band, all in unmarked yellow metal (tests as approx. 18ct gold), size O - P, (4.2g). One stone has a tiny chip to table facet edge.Another stone has very small blemish to surface.All are lightly abraded to facet edges.Light wear throughout consistent with occasional use.
A circa 1900 continental gilt metal dressing table box, the hinged cover decorated with fleur de lis flanking porcelain inset portrait panel, 13cm; one other oval brass example inset with five porcelain panels depicting courtship scene over topographical views, 12cm; and one other smaller example with chased sides, 8cm (3). Large oval box – small dent to rope edge at base of back, minor age / handling wear.Square box – some bending to lid, gilt tarnished all over.Small box – slight dent to front, some age / handling wear, velvet inside is grubby.
A Japanese Meiji period white metal clad table cigarette box, of rectangular form, the hinged lid relief decorated with flowering prunus , having rosewood(?) lined interior, w.15cm, d.9cm, h.5cm. Loss to front left corner of lid, with further old repairs to left hand side running along the back edge of the hinge through to the opposing side.

A Victorian ebony and brass inlaid table clock, the silvered dial signed Chas. Desprez Bristol, having strike-silent dial to the arch, twin winding holes for a brass eight day chain driven fusee movement, having anchor escapement, striking the hours and the half-hours on a gong, with pull repeat, the case having pierced brass grilles to the side panels, cut brass inlays, and on lacquered brass ball feet, h.69.5cm. Dial width 8”.With pendulum and modern poor quality winding key.In working order.Pull repeat, hour and half-hour strike fully working.Dial fits case well.Backplate with two unexplained holes (possibly for fixing bracket).Case with several splits to ebony veneer.One brass grille loose.Dial possibly cleaned back.Brass inlay complete.Case has polished / restored appearance.
A late 17th century joined oak refectory table, having a planked top with cleated ends, plain frieze, and on turned and square cut supports united by low H stretcher, probably Flemish, circa 1690, with some alterations and replaced elements, 73 x 232cm Provenance: ex-Suffolk House Antiques, Yoxford
