A 19TH CENTURY OAK HALL TABLE, central carved scallop shell to the crest with acanthus leaves, on cabriole fore supports, the undertier with sunflowers, bears label verso 'James Phillips & Sons, Union St. Bristol', 113cm wideCondition report – Dents scratches and scars to the top, losses to mouldings of frieze, losses to right under frieze where the leg starts, cracks running down both legs, rot and loss to the bottom right foot, no evidence of wormwood, cracks to centre block of ‘X’ stretcher. I consider there is a block of carving missing at the top of each leg, just under frieze, otherwise in sound condition, attractive piece, ideal side table, a good looker, modest, good size.
