AN IRISH RED WALNUT SILVER TABLE MID 18TH CENTURY AND LATER Of small proportion 71cm high, 70cm wide, 43cm deep Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions, old splits and cracksTable is sturdy and in good condition. Has been cleaned, there are some old pin holes on the right side of the frieze.As catalogued the dating of this table is mid 18th century and later, there are some variance to the joints and overall construction and it does not appear 'pure' - the elements are 18th century but there appears to have been alterations and adaptions. The table presents well but there are a mixture of joint construction including pegs and tacks, there are later blocks to the interior to secure top to frieze as well as later screws, there also appear to have been other internal blocks to the corners previously.
