HIMMLER HEINRICH: (1900-1945) German Nazi official of World War II, Reichsfuhrer of the SS. T.L.S., with his initials H.H., two pages, 4to (onion skin paper), Munich, 26th September 1927, to Major Buch, in German. Himmler writes to his correspondent with instructions on how the men of the Sturmabteilung (Storm Troopers) are to behave in public, in part, 'As agreed upon, I permit myself to inform you of the work plan of the Munich Local Group for the rest of September and for October. The central evening meeting on Monday, 3rd October, must be attended by all of the S.A. (Storm Troopers)....This attendance on this evening should be looked upon by all S.A. people as service on orders. I permit myself to suggest in addition that the S.A.'s attendance be communicated to the Section Leader beforehand, because the presence of the S.A. is sure to have a promotional effect. But I ask that the order be issued that during the speech no S.A. man smokes, the S.A. sit in a group at one table, similarly, that during the speech no S.A. man leaves the premises. After the end of the official part, the S.A. sings a song or two. I hope that by this the section meetings will be more enlivened, furthermore, that the S.A. is schooled politically and grows together with the other party members...' A slight smudge to the second of Himmler's initials and some show through from the verso. G
