A Pair of Modern Eileen Gray E1027 Adjustable Circular Glass and Chrome Side Tables, unmarked, 71cmThis design was named after the summer cliff top house E1027, ''Maison en Bord de Mer'' (near Monaco) that Eileen Gray built for himself and her collaborator, Jean Badovici. Likewise, the secret code name comes from her: E is for Eileen, 10 for Jean (J is the 10th letter of the alphabet) 2 for B (adovici) and 7 for G (ray). The design of this table was to enable one of her sisters to indulge her love of eating breakfast in bed.
