A late 19th Century Sèvres dressing table box, the shaped top decorated with travellers in a landscape, signed "Lancry", on a deep blue ground with scrolling gilded foliate decoration, the sides with oval panels decorated with landscapes opening to reveal a floral spray painted interior, bearing spurious 18th Century Sèvres hand-painted mark to base, bearing letter "V" for 1774, 32 cm wide x 12 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Wear and crazing to the glaze. Dirt and scuffs. Corner of lid is broken and there are some chips in this area. Some chips and frits to footrim. Some mis-shaping and lifting to the metal mounts and some sections coming loose. Clasp is currently attached with a dressmakers type pin. Generally appears to be in original untouched condition.

A late 19th Century Chinese Cantonese export vase (now converted to a table lamp base), richly decorated in coloured enamels in the famille-rose palette, depicting figures within panels amidst floral sprays, Oriental emblems, butterflies and lizards in raised relief on a circular foot and hardwood base, 49 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear and scuffs including wear to gilding, hole drilled to base, lamp fitments not removed so unable to check underside of vase, various firing blemishes and some firing cracks including near head of one lizard where it meets the body, a couple of small chips to underside of rim, and a chip to the scalloped decoration at neck, overall condition however appears reasonably good.

A pair of Victorian ruby glass gilt decorated table lustres, each with shaped rim to a baluster support on a circular foot, with clear glass pendant and prism drops under glass domes, 21 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall with general wear and scuffs, wear and losses to gilding, some chips to cut glass drops, some crease/fold type marks to the ruby glass, the base of one is of a shallower shape than the other - it is possible this is due to the hand blown nature of the piece or it is possible that the bottom may have been ground down.

A George III mahogany wine table, the circular dished top on a turned and ringed pedestal with inverted bell base to cabriole tripod supports and pad feet, 39.5 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Tripod base with old metal bracket repair to underside, and also metal bracket repairs to undersides of two of the legs/feet, numerous splits and breaks to the pedestal and to the legs and feet, pedestal appears to have been split at the top and has a screw repairing it, a section to the top of the pedestal beneath the table top appears to be of a different colour and also has woodworm holes, this attachment/section may be associated, the underside of the table top does have very similar colouring to the pedestal and base, although we cannot be certain that it is original to the base, the top of the table top is warped and has some age splits, stains - including water stains, ink, etc. - scuffs and deterioration to the finish, the top has patination conducive with age and use and is currently of a much lighter colour than the pedestal and base. Height approx 55cm.

Some chips. Some splits to frame and underside eg - where leg joins (leg slightly crooked), to runner/support sections underneath, etc. Some slight bowing / warping to leaves. Size approx 72.5 cm high, 126.5 cm wide, 282 cm long max.

An early 19th Century rosewood and brass inlaid sofa table, the top with cross inlaid banding and rounded rectangular drop leaves over a single frieze drawer and dummy drawer with circular medallion inlaid decoration opposite a further single frieze drawer, raised on a central rope-twist and turned and ringed gilded carved pedestal within four scroll supports to the platform base with circular medallion decoration to heavy cast brass lion's paw feet and castors, 150.8 cm wide x 63.5 cm deep CONDITION REPORTS Various cracks and chips evident, however, the table appears to have been totally restored, restained, and refinished/revarnished, and with various restored and replaced sections, regilding etc. Old cracks to the table top and leaves appear to have been repaired and fillered. Some losses and lifting to the veneers and brass inlay to the scrolling supports. Size of table with leaves folded down = approx 95cm wide x 63.5 cm deep, and each flap measures approx 30cm.

A George III mahogany night table, the tray top above a rising door over a slim drawer raised on square moulded supports, 58 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS Wear, scuffs, stains. Numerous large splits, including to both sides. Woodworm holes to carcass. Chips and losses to veneers. Some splitting, warping and lifting to veneers. Some warping to top. Large watermarks and scrapes to front. Brass catches appear to be later replacements. Pull out section to front has been converted to a drawer.

Lot 298

A 19th Century giltwood and gesso console table, the white veined black marble top above a cushioned frieze with cast foliate brass embellishments raised on scrolling harebell and foliate decorated supports flanking a mirrored backplate, all raised on a simulated yellow veined black marble base, 128 cm wide x 38.3 cm deep CONDITION REPORTS Has knocks, dumps, splits and scratches throughout the piece and chipping to gilt work throughout (see photos). The marble top has been completely broken right across toward one end front to back in approx three pieces. The base top edge very chipped. Large cracks to both foliate scroll cushions in several places (see photos) The base platform appears to have been repainted and restored at a later date but is still very scratched (see photos), some of the gilt work has had some restoration at various times. Both scrolls has some circular pieces missing (see photos) Mirror back shows some signs of aging toward the bottom the foil to the mirror is slightly breaking up in a couple of small areas.

An early 19th Century oak and elm occasional table, the rectangular snap top with dished edge raised on a slender turned and ringed pedestal to cabriole tripod base, 44 cm x 31.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Tripod base with old metal bracket repairs, feet with various alterations, have been shaved down and two have additional block sections added, old woodworm holes throughout, various chips, splits, cracks throughout pedestal base and turned column, pedestal very wobbly and tilt-top mechanism does not appear to work, table top is quite warped, stained, marked and scratched and has a large chunk missing off one corner plus old chips and sections missing from two other corners, various knocks and dents, cracks, etc.
