A pair of mahogany tray top bedside chests of two drawers, on turned tapering legs to lion paw feet, bear labels "And So to Bed London" CONDITION REPORTS Overall with general wear and scuffs, uprights/leg sections appear to have been re-glued to both tables, one table with splits to both sides, one drawer very stiff.
A 20th century walnut dining suite by Waring & Gillow Ltd., Lancaster comprising extending dining table, a sideboard fitted with a pair of doors flanked by cupboards and matching carver table with frieze drawer, and a set of eight dining chairs with tapestry seats all on turned legs united by wavy stretchers CONDITION REPORTS All with general wear, scuffs and scratches. Several quite large scratches to table top and some slight age cracking to veneers. Central leaf appears much less faded than the main table top. Some water marks and water stains particularly to stretchers. Sideboard and side table in similar condition to the table but with quite extensive fading to front of sideboard and quite extensive cracking to veneers, some knocks, dents and chips. Chairs all with wear and scuffs, fading, some chips and losses to veneers. Upholstery in very poor condition. Some chips. Some slight movement to frames but overall appear fairly sturdy.
An early 20th Century walnut writing table, the top with tooled leather insert above a serpentine fronted central drawer flanked by two deeper drawers on carved cabriole legs to claw and ball feet (central drawer bears label inscribed "Richardson of Highgate 191-199 Archway Road, N6")
An early 20th Century mahogany library table, the rounded rectangular top with tooled leather writing surface and reeded edge, above three frieze drawers with brass swan neck handles, opposite three further frieze drawers, each drawer lock stamped "Waring & Gillow London Liverpool and Paris", raised on cabriole legs to claw and ball feet (now with additional central support of a Victorian turned and reeded baluster table leg) CONDITION REPORTS Overall with wear, scuffs, scratches, various chips and losses to veneers particularly to edges of table top, leather insert very scratched, stained and worn, and various cracks and splits, seems to be some undulation and movement to the wood beneath the leather, boards making up the table top beneath the covering appear to have warped and possibly split and separated in places, central leg is unrelated to the table and has been added later probably due to some movement in the table top due to the large size of the table, it is difficult to know whether the central leg is essential but it would appear likely that a support is required.
